Our helicopter in-air proposals are essentially private NYC helicopter tours that depart from Westchester Airport base and can be customized with various add-ons. Start a new chapter together by soaring above the iconic Manhattan skyline in your private helicopter, guided by our skilled pilots. Whether you pop the question aboard the helicopter in flight, before takeoff or after landing, it’s going to be one for the books!

The concept of an in-air proposal is that you come in with your unsuspecting significant other like you would for a regular helicopter tour. After check-in and the mandatory safety briefing your proposal is in your hands: pop the question before takeoff, in flight or after landing, next to the helicopter. Our Westchester location can be reached by car or the Metro-North train from Grand Central Terminal to White Plains station then a quick taxi ride. Total travel time approximately 45-60 minutes. Train schedules here.

In-flight music selection: complimentary upon request, you have to bring your smartphone with your music.

Champagne toast: complimentary upon request, for ages 21+ only.

Photography: a professional engagement photographer can accompany you on your flight for an additional fee.

Marry me sign: can be placed near the helicopter landing spot for additional fee (available for Westchester departures only )

Dinner arrangements: we recommend a romantic fondue dinner at The Melting Pot in White Plains with a bottle of Moet and half a dozen roses.

Car service: available between Manhattan and Westchester for additional fee.

Due to airport security, we cannot accommodate any non-flying passengers (friends, family members, etc.).

Please note: online bookings are subject to availability and not automatically confirmed. We will do our best to accommodate your requested day and time or offer the closest available alternative. To book a private tour, please select 1 for quantity (you are booking one private helicopter) and list all passenger names on one line when prompted. For shared tours please enter the number of passengers (you are booking individual seats).

Celebrate your engagement at a magnificent Gilded Age villa in the lower Hudson Valley where our helicopters land right on the lawn.  Glenmere Mansion was built in 1911 in the style of Tuscan villas, as the country retreat of industrialist Robert Goelet, on a picturesque hilltop overlooking Glenmere Lake. The manicured, formal gardens surrounding the mansion provide the perfect backdrop for engagement photography. Today, it is a luxury escape featuring 18 guest rooms and suites, formal and casual dining rooms, an outdoor heated swimming pool and a spa with exclusive bespoke services. Learn More

We are Wyvern registered and have been flying safely since our inception in 2002. All passengers must receive a safety briefing prior to flight. The safety briefing covers important emergency procedures and the proper use of life vests and seat belts.  All smartphones and cameras must be secured by neck straps or wrist straps. Loose items must be stowed in the hold or the under-the-seat compartments. The DOT and FAA have banned Samsung Galaxy Note 7 phones from all aircraft.
