- What are the requirements? The requirements are fairly simple to begin the flight training process. It is required that all applicants be able to speak English fluently, be a US citizen or TSA-approved, be at least 16 years of age, and pass a medical exam.
- What’s the time commitment? Earning your helicopter pilot license will require a great deal of dedication. There are various types of pilot licenses available, however for a private pilot license, you will need at least 30 hours of dual instruction and 10 hours flying solo. For a commercial pilot license, you will need to log 150+ hours of flying time.
